"I have stayed at the Belmont many times. It has everything going for it. It is a 5 minute walk from the station,, it has a huge car park, and it runs along New Walk, the most attractive part of Leicester by far. The downside is that the Belmont needs refurbishment, but I understand the financial constraints. In particular the bar area needs an upgrade. The seating needs recovering, the lighting is dated - the side lamps are 1970s if not earlier. They have been tickled with a feather duster but...

"Little expensive but can’t complain about the room and service, though not impressed with the evening meals, breakfast was nice."

"On arrival, my Sat Nav was unable to direct me to the entrance of the hotel. I have never been to Leicester before, so I called the reception for a few suggestions how to get into the car park. The receptionist, went above and beyond. She stayed with me on the phone (hands free kit) and guided me to the car park, and was so helpful and reassuring. "We used the hotel for somewhere to stay between 3 days at the download festival and the staff were very accommodating and friendly despite how tired and muddy we were. We had a slight issue with our booking and we have never seen more friendly or understanding staff at a hotel. They sorted the issue out fast and the stay was great."
