"Hotel was nice, a big entrance leading into a big bar and seating area which was a bit busy and loud at times when lots of people. Room was clean and spacious and great choices for breakfast, again very spacious. A convenient stay but felt this was more suited for business meetings and conference gatherings rather than a typical run of the mill hotels."

"The property is tired and rooms and bathrooms need updating. Beautiful old hotel with history! Staff extremely helpful with a smile. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately the boiler was not working in the main building but the rooms with hot water were too hot in 30+ degree temps, uncomfortable to sleep in, so we were given both rooms, one where it was cool enough to sleep in and the other we can have hot water. Very accommodating! Thank you."

"Stayed here for 2 nights for my partners birthday. The hotel is in a lovely spot by the river with a nice area outside to relax in. It's ideally situated between 2 national trust properties, (both of which are well worth a visit). The room itself could do with a bit of TLC, but it was clean and comfortable. Slept really well. Food was decent, self serve buffet breakfast which had quite agood choice. The staff were friendly and there was plenty of parking on site. Had a pleasant stay overall and would definitely stay here again."
