Altapura richly deserves its 5-star rating. The resort is spectacular, and all the amenities are at one's fingertips. The ski school or instructors meet you there, the rentals and ski departures are just at the door, the food, wines, and all amenities are first rate. We took our 9-year old granddaughter and by the end of the week she had made fast friends with 6 other children. Comfortable hotel in a good location. The room was compact which was tricky as we had lots of skiwear but this was more than made up for by the hot tub, sauna, steam room and ski lockers with boot warmers! The breakfast was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. You can park right outside (snow permitting) to unload before parking in one of the main car parks. Recommended, especially if you book one of their larger rooms.

Great ski in and ski out

If you're thinking about staying here, BOOK IT NOW. My wife & I only stayed for one night, but we both wished we'd had more time. The property is BEAUTIFUL and the owners provide FIRST CLASS HOSPITALITY. Our stay included breakfast, and it was perhaps the most amazing breakfast I can remember - with the most delicious homemade jams (as well as many other delicious offerings)! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HAVING US!

Charming farmhouse experience in a tiny village in the spring. Easy access to Modane train station. Breakfast was excellent, fresh and healthy. Host was very accommodating. Highly recommend!

The rooms were clean, the towels soft, soap smells great. The hotel is less than a minute walk from the snow and 4 different lifts. The ski room has lockers for each room with 4 boot driers in each. The spa was very good after skiing, with heated pool, steam room and sauna. Staff is super friendly and helpful, quick to answer questions and give recommendations.
