Without hyperbole, this is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The view out the back of the building—the Wye twisting into the West, flanked by lush green hills—is jaw-dropping. I couldn’t believe it. I took dozens of pictures at different times of day, wanting my loved ones back home to see what I was seeing, but of course, the pics didn’t do the view justice. The guesthouse is also a short drive into Hay, where the walk along the river is lovely, and the bookshops are really fun...

Fabulous stay at this gorgeous BnB with charming hosts. Loved the spacious ensuite room with soaking tub. Breakfast was perfect and the shared living space (with breathtaking Brecon Beacon views) was so comfortable that H enjoyed posting up there for work. Would love to return for a longer (than 2 night) visit and check out more of the hundreds of nearby hikes.

Our stay was truly wonderful from start to finish. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—rich in history and full of character—and the gardens are simply breathtaking. Being able to walk down to the River Usk and wander for miles through the open fields was such a special experience. We just stayed here for a long weekend and had such a lovely time. The rooms were very nice and modern, friendly staff and the food was amazing.

Loved this hotel located in a beautiful area of Wales! Staff were attentive and food was absolutely great!! Accommodations were what one would expect from an older hotel… what I mean is “mind your head!!”

This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted.
