We will not be returning. Our impression of this place is that owners have massively deferred maitenance on the property over the last year, and seem to take no pride or care in the property. It no longer deserves the rating it has. The rooms are inhabitable but at the bare minimum level of clean— not a “4 star boutique” experience as they claim. The property was in horrible condition, including dirty, stained carpet and bed linens, damaged furniture and walls. The breakfast is minimally a continent breakfast with toast, cold cereal, poor quality pastries. The toaster (which setting you aren’t allowed to change!) burns toast black. We wish we spent 50 more pounds for the Doubletree down the road, because we ended up spending that anyways to get a decent breakfast. We would had left had we not already prepaid. The only upsides were that the location was good (2 blocks to the Tube) and staff was friendly short of going out of their way to help you. But none of this justifies the price.
