Staff great!
Place needs a little renovation.
Breakfast very good!
Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Room, whilst clean In dire need of renovation. No chair, hook taken off in bathroom so nowhere to put towels, clear space on wall in bedroom where mirror removed. Poor old carpet. Yes it's being renovated but we paid full price to stay there. Should have been better. Very lovely lady on reception Ilana who was so helpful. However we were told on arrival that the hotel had just been bought and was being refurbished -much needed- and that there was no breakfast available. We were looking forward to it. We were offered to go a short walk to the sister hotel for breakfast but my friend has walking difficulties. Also I phoned 3 days prior to ask for a ground floor room due to no lift. A helpful man said he'd move a room for us and we were on ground floor. However when we arrived he hadn't done this and we were on 3rd floor. So many steps. Lovely receptionist moved us to 2nd floor but not ideal.
Staff was so friendly. Nice location next to Hyde Park. Comfy bed - good WiFi - nice small area to sit outside. They were very helpful to find me an adapter for my phone. The carpet in the room needs replaced and a nice coat of paint would certainly freshen the room up. The safe and refrigerator were on the floor - on a table would be nice. I was only there for 1 day - positive experience!

Location is excellent for shopping and walking. Staff are warm and welcoming and it reminded me of the ambience of a rural b&b.
The building and rooms are dated but that is expectable for that price in that location and I wouldn't think it twice next time I need a short stay in London.
It’s was a lovely stay, slept well, the place Is clean and everyone working there is very friendly, breakfast was great, I stayed with my two young boys they enjoyed their time there, they have plenty of suggestions on what to do in London , highly recommend the stay
Good service given by staff.Nice friendly receptionist helpful with any problems.Goid clean comfortable room.In good walking distance to all transport link’s and shopping areas.
Convenient location and acceptable value for money. A friendly welcome at check-in, but promises of assistance with luggage in the morning and a small breakfast to take with us never materialised, unfortunately.
I should preface this review by saying I had the great good fortune to live in London in 1983. London has a very different, slightly down-at-the-heels look and smell for me that I LOVE. People give five ⭐️ reviews for different reasons. This is mine: the Parkwood has this wonderful feel for me. It is a very clean and exceptionally friendly place. The breakfast is lovely. The staff and owner Monty are friendly and flexible. I am not the kind of traveler who wants a sterile anonymous environment. The Parkwood is quirky and welcoming. I will be back the next time I have the good fortune to go to London again.
From the moment that James welcomed us to the hotel, and to our departure with Gail and Ronnie, we had an amazing night at the top of Hyde Park. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, traditional, English breakfast, made more special by the two wonderful women serving and cooking a delicious food. We have found our new home in London.
Hotel in perfect location for Hyde Park and Marble Arch. The service was excellent from all staff. The room had everything you need for an overnight stay and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was attended by very helpful and friendly staff and had some personal touches such as a coffee pot for the table and hot toast served to the individual tables. It would have been nice to have vegetarian bacon and sausages on offer. Overall a great stay, thankyou!
Great location and access to main transport links and central London.
The accomodations was basic, I was on the 4th floor which would have been the attic. The shower pressure was so low, just a tickle of water came out. Furniture/fixtures and fittings are in need of repair.
All that said, staff were friendly and welcoming. The bed was comfortable.
