This became a roof over our head and nothing more, problems ranged from bare live wires protruding from the wall above the bed, pillows filled with shredded foam pieces, dirty broken bed, dirty carpets, torn curtains, no ventilation and no Staff present when trying to complain and check out. Awful. Just Awful.
I know there’s a saying that you get what you pay for, but this stay was beyond disappointing.
The room was extremely dirty and felt unhygienic from the moment I walked in. There were ants present, visible mould, and a strong unpleasant smell coming from the carpet as soon as you entered the room.
I was only supposed to stay for one night, but I could barely last a few hours before I had to check out and book another hotel. I understand this was a budget stay, but basic cleanliness should never be compromised.
No guest should have to stay in those conditions. It was a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience overall.

The reception staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and clearly explained where I could find my room. I stayed in Room 17, which was located next to reception.
The room was a decent size, although it looked quite tired and was not really what I was expecting based on the photos I had seen when booking. The bed and bedding were clean, and I slept well. The hotel was also very quiet during my stay, which helped me get a good night's sleep.
One thing that surprised me was the lack of tea and coffee-making facilities. This is the first hotel I have stayed in that did not provide a kettle in the room. The room was also quite hot. In the morning, I noticed that there was no shampoo, shower gel, or drinking glass provided in the bathroom.
Overall, I would describe this as a budget hotel. It was perfectly adequate for a one-night stay, with friendly staff and a comfortable bed, but some of the facilities and room presentation could be improved.

On a last minute deal, the hotel is good value for the central location, it is 'no frills' but that is to be expected for the price point. Check in and out simple and no issues; bed clean and comfy, bathroom and decor needs refreshing but for the price point its 'fair'

the floor was quite loud but probably because we’re on the top floor. only reason i put 4 stars was because there’s no lift and we had to carry all our luggages from ground to 3rd floor. otherwise it’s all good stay
Salle d’eau plus que vétuste, mal entretenue. Pas de savon ni de shampoing.
Chambre sale, surtout la moquette sur laquelle il n’était pas possible de marcher pieds nus.

The room was very dirty and the bathroom ceiling light makes a lot of noise. My single room didnt had bathroom , I had to pay 14£ more for a single room with bathroom, and that room was very dirty and the bathroom dirty with 💩, there weren't any towers. That place shouldn't be considered a hotel if not a hostel.
I used the hotel as it was close to Great Ormond Street hospital. It was a large room with double and 3 single beds. It was disgustingly the was stains all over the carpet walls n ceiling. I refused to use the shower coz the mould that was in it. You could see the stains on the duvet through the duvet cover so I slept in my clothes. Lucky enough my husband decided to stay otherwise I would have left and slept in the hospital waiting area where it was more comfortable.
Do not go there. Dirty, not got water, zero help from staff. I booked for 5 days and left after 2, even if it was not refundable. Really a bad place to stay.
Room not clean, including bathroom. Hair in shower, no plug in sink, clearly not cleaned. Hair on bed, mattress springs prominent , had to cushion with towel under sheet. Table had thick film of dust. TV did not work, broken spring on bedroom door which I assume should be a fire door. No teaspoon for tea. Pillows extremely lumpy.
very good location. behind the building is Main Street. I believe that is bloomsbury wy where there are lots of shops, restaurants. Russell square garden is just cross the street. Walking distance to British museum, Soho square, Oxford St, and two tube stations nearby. It takes 30 mins from airport to Tottenham court station by Elizabeth line.
I don't think Thanet can be ranked 3 star hotel. However, after 3 days stayed over there, the little room with London give me the good memory.
The room was not hovered when we came so all dusty and not to our satisfaction. The manager hovered our room himself on our day two.
Coffee stains (?) a bit everywhere. Not fresh.
The shower curtain was in bad shape, ready to be thrown in a bin.
The carpet on the floor… why not throw it out.
Put to chairs on the balcony so you can have your morning coffee outside.
Had to ask for new towels and toilet paper.
We will not returned if this place don’t get renovated!
First place I’ve ever stayed where there is a kettle, but no tea or coffee to make and where there is a tv that doesn’t work and WiFi that decides when it will or where there is evidently a leak because the carpet is sodden and yet the owner chooses not to do anything about it. Astonishing!
The front of house staff were efficient and friendly. I have zero complaints. The issue is the mould and damage in the rooms. Cut my foot on a broken tile in the toilet and didn’t dare shower incase the mould spores touched me. Cheapest in the area for a reason but not sure how am health and safety haven’t closed them down.
