The New Castle of Manzanares el Real, also known as Castle of los Mendoza, is a palace-fortress erected in the 15th century in the town of Manzanares el Real (Community of Madrid, Spain), next to the Santillana reservoir at the foot of Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range. A must-see for anyone going to Madrid! One of the most interesting castles I've visited.

"Right next to Tres Cantos train station which made it getting to Madrid city centre efficient. Average time to get to the city centre is around 30-45 mins which is the only downside but for the price it was worth it. Right next to a big grocery market, made getting snacks and drinks or meals super easy. Very friendly front desk staff "

"A beautiful old hotel in the city center, not far from the monastery. We liked the old style atmosphere. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We can recommend this hotel."
