"Always delighted to stay at one of they many great hotels of "Starhotels". My first time at the Splendid Venice but, certainly not the last one. Grazie mille for the exquisite suite with canal view, delicious breakfast and above all, that superb staff that goes the extra mile to make you feel in paradise, whatever the city you are. Venezia is one of a kind place, very close to my family heart , living it from The Splendid was nothing else but "Splendid". Ci vediamo!"

"Great staff, from the check-in to the kitchen and dining staff. Everyone was friendly and hand very courteous. The place was great to stay at. Great breakfast, our room was great. We would definitely stay here again."

"There are 2 sections of the hotel. One has ancient, uneven, steep steps and no elevator. They carry your bag to your room. You think you are having a hard time with the stairs because you've been traveling for 15 hours. But the steps are treacherous. The staff, especially the dining and room staff, are friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff is smug, knowledgeable, grudgingly helpful, but they don't always pass requests on to the room staff. If the hotel were even 15% less expensive I wouldn't have been thinking that I'd made the wrong choice."

"Room was fairly small but I’m sure that’s par for the course considering the age of the city. The staff was very helpful and the location is perfect. Seemed like everything was a 5-20 minute walk!"

"The rooms were very clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful at every opportunity. The breakfast included a lot of choice and the cold food was very good, I didn't sample the hot food. The bar was fine."

"Fantastic location right on the canal by the rialto bridge! It was great being able to walk right out of the room into the heart of the city. Easy access to everything and boat transportation to get in and out for travel. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Great views from the rooftop bar!"

"Hotel is nice, breakfast is ample choice. Room only has one plug and that is in the bathroom! There is a book that says Do not use your own hairdryer, curling tongs or straightener, use the hair dryer provided. You also have to use this one and only plug in room 102 to charge your phone, laptop etc! All plugs in room are blanked off other than some are light switches. This for me let it down slightly. Mini fridge is empty, no air con that’s off, safe is not screwed down so it could be taken away although you can lock it. Bar shuts at 10am. No restaurant if you want to stay at hotel. Water taxi from hotel to airport is 150 euros."
