"The cottage has a open plan, it had a large stunning wood burning stove ,with wood mantelpiece and bricks, Kitchen with a island table with plenty cupboards space , with pots and pans , Dishes glasses, oven, microwave, hob coffee maker ,toaster and a kettle, Kings size bed ,two bedrooms both with ensuite bathroom, dining area They have thought of everything, from cleaning materials to towels hoover and floor mop , place is impeccable very clean , welcome basket with wine and biscuits. "They charge to use the pool, which I think should be made clear when booking. Whilst only £5 a time, that is quite a lot for quite a run down facility that wasn't very clean. The rooms were OK, once I swapped for a second room as they first smelt like someone had been smoking in it quite recently."

"I've stayed at this hotel on many occasions but I'm not sure I will again,in the past parking was free then last year there was a charge this time it shot up to £15 a night , the resteraunt has become very expensive mainly due to charging £6.50 for sides i.e fish and chips with chips as an extra, a basic bottle of wine £35 needless to say for the second and third nights of our stay we went elsewhere to eat.The staff as ale=ways very pleasant and professional. It's a shame the management now want to treat their customers as mugs. Without the sharp pricing practices I would have given a five star rating as Ihave done in the past."

"Stayed here for one night prior to attending an event in central Nottingham the next day. Only a short drive from the M1 and about 15 mins drive from Nottingham. Large free car park at the hotel. The hotel itself any my room were in excellent condition and very clean. Everything worked, all the staff were friendly and helpful and I was able to set myself up for the day with a good breakfast before I left."

"Lovely, quiet, hotel in a residential area very close to the River Trent. Ample free parking, although the staff will need a note of your vehicle registration. Our superior king size room was fresh, modern and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. There is an in room kettle, tea, coffee etc as well as a coffee machine with pods Although we were only there for one night there was plenty of space in the wardrobe and there were also lots of hangers - which makes a refreshing change. We had Sunday Lunch in the bar which was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The staff were friendly and chatty, prices were very reasonable. This hotel also has a small, if a little cool, swimming pool. A sauna, jacuzzi and a sizeable gym. The pool area is very inviting and looks like it was refurbished quite recently. The only disappointing part of our stay was the breakfast. It’s meant to be cooked to order but the bacon was seriously overcooked (as if it had been sat around for a while and had dried out) and the fried eggs given to my husband were very unappealing - their bottoms were an odd green/black colour. Overall it was a great one night stay and we’d happily stay here again. It was perfect for the event we were attending, the leisure centre was a real bonus, the staff were lovely and the room was very comfortable. It was also great value for money"

"Yet another stay at this beautiful renovated city centre hotel. As always a very pleasant welcome on arrival and at check-in, plenty of easy parking (and not expensive). Beautiful spacious double room with en suite shower a bath and toiletries to hand, N/B no air conditioning presently, but given two large effective fans running through out the day to help maintain room airflow, room was serviced every day to maintain clean and crisp atmosphere. Breakfast served as a buffet along side a small A La Carte menu offering upgrades. Beautiful bar and reception area offering drinks or respite from city centre life."
