"Lovely hotel tucked away in the countryside. My room was a lovely size and nicely equipped. The evening meal menu wasn't vast, but the food on offer was amazing (well what I ordered was)!"

"Small bu clean & cosy room. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was good with a wide choice including a "full English", I had Eggs Benedict. Tea & coffee was from a self service machine with various choices, but of good quality. Buffet for cereals, juices, yogurts, fruit & pastries. Toast was bought to your table with a choice of white or brown brad, served in a toast rack. Marmalade, Jam & honey was available (no Marmite, to my Wife's disappointment!). Parking out the back courtyard was free, off street, a bit tight but okay."

"The hotel is conveniently situated in central Salisbury. The rooms are clean and comfortable but not easily accessible for the infirm . I did not eat there as there was a wedding and the kitchen was closed."

"We were attending a wedding at the hotel and on the day the electricity went off. It was completely out of the hands of the hotel but the staff worked tirelessly to ensure the wedding reception could go ahead. There was no power from 6am until late into the evening but somehow they kept everything on track and the event was a huge success. How they managed to serve such high quality food under the circumstances I don’t know. I’m sure they were all exhausted by the end of the day, but thank you for all your efforts!!"

"We stayed twice in quick succession, the first room was very small, but the second room was quite nice. It is an 800 year old building so not everything is perfect, but the food and service is great. The bathrooms were clean in both rooms. Parking is half a block away, so you need to plan out the unloading/loading a bit, that turned out to not be a big deal, but not expecting that caused us to spend quite a bit of extra time initially."
