"I could barely see the “ocean” from my room…only the lagoon for the sailing club. More importantly, the room was less than desirable. I don’t ask for much. We asked for early check in. While I realize that can be a difficult ask, it wasn’t handled all that well. When the room was finally ready, the bed lacked a top sheet (bottom sheet only). We asked for this to be addressed and housekeeping showed up and handed me sheets for the bed, which I had to put on. The room was not clean. In the morning I went to shower and gobs of dirt and even long hairs (clearly not mine) came off my feet. After showering, I walked to the other side of the room, and my feet were visibly dirty again. As an ocean front property, I could expect some dampness, but there was the telltale odor of mold as well as indications. Overall, the facility is tired. Faucets and non ceramic fixture were corroded (salt air, I presume). The area was nice with small shops and a great coffee shop. Also a good burger/pizza place nearby. Frankly, this was a great disappointment and not worth even the discounted price we paid. I would not recommend this property. Expedia should not offer it."

"This is my second time staying here my first time was amazing and it was only a month ago which is why I booked again this time the suite that I booked was not updated as the last suite the fee was at the parking lot I'm had the were no wash cloths and the water was cold "

"We booked an ocean view balcony premiere room but was placed in a garden view room because we arrived a day late due to flight delays/weather, then we had no hot water for showering until we were placed in the original room we booked a day later, they did give us credit for good and beverages and a night free but are still waiting for the refund…. The property is spectacular and staff polite. "

"Room very clean. Bed v comfortable. Instructions for air conditioning would be v useful for those of us coming from climates where it is not necessary! Only diwnside was hot tub was very dirty and cold. Outside terrace good but tub would have been. Uch appreciated both after a long journey and day of sightseeing"

"The Residence Inn by Marriott San Juan Isla Verde was an excellent stay! The staff were friendly and helpful, they texted us to check in and ask if we needed anything. Our room was clean and comfortable. The area around the hotel was safe, we were able to walk around at night. The beach was only a 5 minute walk and the hotel provides beach chairs and umbrellas and bikes if needed. Old San Juan was a short uber trip away and the airport is only 5 minutes away. I would definitely stay here again! "
