"Checking in was awful. There is no front desk here and the phone number noted on the front door wasn't in service. My boyfriend ended up wandering down the street and by chance found someone who could help us. It didn't make for a great start to the vacation. Once we were in, it was very nice and clean. "Beautiful resort. Modern and clean rooms. Great pool area for kids. Excellent access to beach. Restaurants except steakhouse don’t take resos and they don’t accommodate a lot of diners even though the restaurant looked empty. Would be nice to have staff taking drink order at the loungers or pool areas so you don’t need to wait in long lines at the bar. I would suggest more food options at pool areas. Even just fruit or something."

"Such a beautiful modern hotel with manicured areas in the lobby and pool area. The restaurants had gourmet style meals but also breakfast buffet. The seafood restaurant near the beach is a must try but it requires for the guests to be dressed, no swim suits without cover ups. We stayed in the 2 bedroom penthouse with a private small rooftop pool (perfect for kids, not deep). Don’t forget to check out the Terrace (bar on the rooftop). It was a very relaxed vibe; not noisy."

"The service is great, the property is incredible. The trams are not an issues and the pools are great too. BUT, the food is absolutely terrible. You’re paying 5 star resort prices for 2 star resort costs. Our first meal was at taco break. The tortillas chips were stale and inedible. My kids tried to eat them because they were so hungry but when I asked for new ones they said they couldn’t make any. I also went to breakfast at samba and cafe de lago, both again just not good. Mexican food is delicious and none of that greatness was in any of the meals. I think the only semi good meal was at the pool which were the nachos and aguachiles. Other then that we chose to leave the property and eat meals outside. You’re not allowed to leave in an uber, you have to pay the astronomical taxi prices, but even with paying for that it was still cheaper to eat at local delicious restaurants."

"The property is lovely. I highly recommend the room with the swim up pool. There were times we had amazing service, and other times (breakfast and the rooftop) where the service was mediocre. After a so/so experience at breakfast, we ordered breakfast room service the next day which was absolutely fantastic. FYI, there’s not much going on after 8 pm. We wanted a relaxing weekend, so it worked for us."
