"Excellent location for our needs. Good choice of drinks available. The Royal Toby restaurant & Cenetta was superb, plenty of variety, excellent service."

"This hotel is one we return to often when visiting Manchester usually for music concerts. It is consistantly well priced especially as there are 3 of us. Free parking and easy taxi journey or tram ride (stop is a 15 min walk) into the city. The rooms aren't fancy and may have a few small issues (cracks in the sink) but they are clean and the beds are comfortable. We heard very little noise despite the place being full of youngsters attending "park life" concert. Staff are friendly and helpful. We love Manchester for music and will definitely be back."

"Stayed over for a wedding at the hotel and received a warm welcome and although we were 2 hours early, our room was ready in 15 minutes and was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff very polite and attentive, food at the wedding was great and the spa was a welcome finish to the weekend. Really good facilities all round. Would stay again"

"This is the second time we have stayed here, in two months. Once again, we cannot praise the whole experience any higher than absolutely excellent. The location for all amenities, the staff for their help in making our stay wonderful. The hotel itself, including the rooms, are to the highest standard and cleanliness. "Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit, cereals, and a hot cooked breakfast. The only negative, we had to pay for parking, we booked on Expedia and it was advertised as parking available, no mention of having to pay. We will use this hotel again but will book directly through the hotel website. ( cheaper too )"

Cosy cottage with a touch of luxury

"It was a very peaceful spot set back from the road. The car wasn't parked on site but finding a spot on the road was easy and walking up to the cottage was guided with directions very clearly explained with photos by the host. The cottage was very secluded, clean and well equipped with a very detailed guide available to both the facilities and places to go in the area. Comfy bed, great shower, cosy lounge. My partner has had a stroke and walks with a stick but was able to cover the distance from the road, but there aren't any railings and it's a short distance uphill and downhill so worth thinking about if you do have mobility issues as it would've been too hard for him six months ago. I would definitely recommend this cottage as a restful retreat from which to explore the area."
