"The room was clean, except for a couple of dirty spots behind the bathroom door that I noticed the night before checking out. The bed was VERY FIRM, if that's your thing, you'll be happy, but my back is a bit sore today. The hotel itself, looked great from the pictures, but it's clearly in need of some TLC. It felt a bit neglected in some areas, which made us a bit sad because this hotel has the potential to be very nice. There were loose pebbles all over the indoor/outdoor pool deck, the whirlpool doesn't bubble aggressively, which is fine I guess, but it needs a bit more power than it currently is, especially if they're going to feature hard mattresses. I prepaid $37 for the breakfast. Don't bother, unless you have a room full of people that will benefit from it. The breakfast is otherwise a la carte with microwaveable breakfast sandwiches priced around $3.50. They have waffles, bagels, English Muffins which can all go in the toaster as well. Cereal, Bottled Juices and coffee are all pretty cheap too. So, needless to say, I lost a few bucks by prepaying here. There's a great diner literally 3 minutes up the street, that would be my recommendation. They don't do daily house keeping either, but will try to accommodate special requests. For us, it was a short 2 night stay so it's not that big a deal, but any longer, and it might be a problem. The staff were all friendly but somewhat hard to find at times, We began to wonder if this is a corporate call?"

"The lobby smelled awful. The room smelled awful. The lock on the room door was broken. The door of the bathroom couldn’t open all the way because it was hitting the toilet. A really disappointment for over $300 a night. Told the front desk on checkout, they couldn’t care less. This is my first “bad” review ever….every time I went to the front desk no one was there."

"The house is in a good location with easy access to downtown Newport. Its in a very nice neighborhood about a block from the local school so we heard the Star Spangled Banner off in the distance a couple of times. Traffic patterns Deck has a locking gate for four legged friends, deck paint could use a refresh. The weather for our stay was beautiful very early in the season so the outdoor furniture wasn’t set out yet. There were only two of us and a couple of chairs in the front yard that we moved to the back for our stay so it was fine. There is a bunny family living in the back yard so we would come out ourselves so they could hide before bringing the dogs out. It was really lovely to watch them with our morning coffee.Inside the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was clean and well maintained with all of the basics. The best part were the little welcome touches all over. The owners put a lot of thought into what a renter would need. House is kept very clean, bathrooms are scrupulously clean. All in all, we had a great stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at this home for a weekend with family. The location was perfect and convenient to Newport and the University of Rhode Island. The house was very clean and newly renovated and had everything we needed for our stay. Communication with the host was excellent and the entire experience was a wonderful one! We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others looking for a great family getaway."

"This is truly a hidden gem for those visiting for RWU. I found this by chance while looking for a place to stay for my daughter’s college graduation. I wish I had found this when she first started. I would have stayed here every time. The staff was super helpful as I arrived and couldn’t check in mostly due to my own fault. I didn’t realize it was contactless and Expedia had my phone number wrong so was unable to contact me to let me know what was required. After a few frantic calls and messages left a representative called me back and was more than accommodating at getting me checked in. Thank you so much! The facility was great. Super clean and much more private than your traditional hotel. We didn’t get a chance to check out the pool, but it looked very inviting. Excellent experience overall and will look into future stays when I’m out that way."
