"We found bugs all over in our room, even in the bed sheets. They were NOT bed bugs, google search showed they were possibly larva to some type of beetle. When we went to the front desk about it, the employee made it seem as though we were bothering her by wanting our room changed. The sheets in the room also had numerous stains on them. The employee Curt was fantastic. He was very personable and gave us some recommendations. The hotel in general seems very dated and can really use some upgrading. Down by the ocean in front of the property there is 2 lagoons which were great especially for people with kids as the water was super calm and lots of people were snorkeling. The phrase “you get what you pay for” comes in mind after our 1 night here. Would def spend a little more to stay somewhere better if we returned. "

"My fiance Maria and I had the most amazing time at our stay at the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort. We had a beautiful room on the third floor that had ocean view and looked out onto the beautiful grassy area next to the Resort. We enjoyed a really nice dinner at the restaurant onsite called Naupaka Terrace where we had the Fish and Chips and Grilled Korean Beef Short Ribs. During the day we spent time at all four pools and I enjoyed the waterslide. Super fun slide!Parking was really easy and close to our room. Every amenity at the Resort was within close proximity to our room and that made for really convenient transitions from one event to another. Megan, Sadie and Jean were so nice at the Front Desk and were always there in case we needed assistance with our room. We really enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to come back next year. "

"Lovely stay even with all the rain. Ate breakfast everyday at the restaurant and George was our server~we fell in love with him. He was always smiling and so friendly and gave us some great ideas on places to go. All of the staff was very accommodating and friendly. "

"Great views next to the ocean. Communication was easy. The pool area was great. I liked the location for being able to access both sides of the island. The resort was under construction making it hard to get around it. Things broken in the resort caused some inconvenience (ice maker, water filter, door to access our floor). For what we paid it seems reasonable. "

"We had a great stay at this property! It was close to everything, the pools were awesome and the sunrises on the beach were spectacular! One of the jacuzzis was out of order and the other was full of kids and teens. Not a problem it you are a traveling family. "

Starbucks in the lobby () and a sundry a souvenir shop (). View is to die for and really what you’re paying for. Driftwood Bar and Grill is poolside. Drinks are nice, food is ok — good choices for kids. Parking is 40/day and you will need a rental car unless you plan to stay at property the whole time. 40 fee includes valet service but self-parking lot is close to the entrance if you’re fed up with tipping. All staff we met was very friendly. "
