"The staff were wonderful. Especially the staff near the elevators that help handicapped people like us. The hotel has an elevator system that is not handicap friendly as part of their efforts to keep the hotel room floors secure from non-hotel guests. I understand and appreciate keeping bad actors away from the rooms but not the confusion and distance people who can’t ride escalators face. The problem is that the elevators to the rooms (operable only with a room key) are on the second floor. To get from the ground floor to the second floor, there is a robust escalator which is great for everyone except those with mobility handicaps. There is a single small elevator tucked away in a long hallway and that is not easy to find when first finding it because the doors are covered in a nice Hawaiian style graphic. Since hotel check in is on the second floor, newly arriving guests have to find their own way around the escalators. After a couple of laps around the first floor shopping center, a hotel employee not only told us where the small elevator to the second elevator was, but he walked with us there. He helped a second time when we were seemingly stranded on the second floor looking for the small elevator down to the first floor. Another person helped a third time when the small elevator was out of order by taking us into an employee only area near the escalators and allowing us to use the elevators used by room maids. My thanks to the employees who rescued us. I wish had Names."

"I had great communication from Shari from the moment we booked. The listing included all the details we needed to know. Clean, perfect size, Just a minute from the bay/beach. Shari provided beach chairs and towels. Shari provided information about good places to eat in the area and kept an open line of communication. We had a great stay!"

"Check in was a little delayed. Property very clean and nice. No stove for cooking but everything else great.Wonderful location for the beach and local businesses. A must for breakfast is Cinnamon’s, and Moke. Kailua is a great town. Would definitely come back. Aloha til next time."

"Zack, the host, was readily available and responsive to our questions and requests. We were surprised to find that the access to another unit in the complex was across our patio which was right outside our living area. It was awkward to have strangers coming and going so close to our living quarters and I think this should be disclosed in the rental information. The unit is dated and worn.The kitchen is haphazardly equipped, with old cookware, chipped dishes, a mishmash of wine glasses and cooking utensils. Furnishings were fine, as were beds. The 2nd bathroom down one flight to the pool deck was labeled for our unit, but I think was also used by other renters. I know Hawaii continues to get more and more expensive, but we felt this unit was overpriced for the above stated reasons. "

"We enjoyed the beach just across the road. Closeness to the beach is why we chose this particular place. The cottage was quaint and cozy."
