"Our stay was aboslutely wonderful! The house and farm lies high up in the Tuscan hills and we were immersed in lush greenery with a river flowing nearby. Lorenzo was very welcoming and cooked us a delicious Tuscan dinner every night. We also loved his beautiful dog and two cats who made our stay extra nice! The room was sprakling clean and very cozy. "Stunning location! I wish we had been able to stay another night and spend a day by the beautiful pool. The drive to Arezzo was short, which allowed for exploring and dinner in the old part of the city!"

"We had the most wonderful time at Casale La Gora. Francesca was super sweet and helpful!
We spent 5 nights there and enjoyed every second of it. The room was spacious and comfortable, I missed a bench or couch at night when we were relaxing and extra pillows would have been handy, however the house has two guest lounge rooms with comfy sits.
Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the variety of different deserts/cakes every day. Our host made sure there was always well stocked and she made a...

"Positives - Great set up. Clean, friendly, good price point, good location, good restaurant on site, very helpful reception....calling taxis and storing bags etc. The security guys are very helpful and friendly.
Negatives - The shallow canals around the pools are great to relax in but they are very very slippy. Saw about a dozen people slip....us included.
The pools are open to the general public to pay in. Fine during the week but not so good at the weekend. It gets incredibly busy at the weekend and very difficult to get a lounger and a parasol. You expect a few lounger issues on a sun holiday but this is crazy. The place is absolutely packed."
"We couldn’t say enough about our stay! The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were very clean with a great Italian flare. There is lots of history to the property that we enjoyed. We loved our wine tour, and Thomas was extremely knowledgable and friendly throughout our experience. The resort was quiet and peaceful, with only a 20minute taxi to Florence we were still able to explore the nearby city. The front desk was extremely helpful and every worker went above and beyond. Jorge working the bar was also the best! Thanks again for the great stay."
"Great peaceful location. Definitely countryside feel. They offer breakfast for a small charge and walkable to a small restaurant and small shopping center. Best if you had a vehicle as there is no taxi service near. You have to work with the hotel to coordinate a car service."
"I loved everything about this hotel. The property, the staff, the view, the room. I would highly recommend staying here. We stayed 7 nights to attend my daughter's wedding. The room was adorable, clean, comfortable, and had a view to die for. The bathroom was very spacious. The property is spectacular with flowers everywhere, clean, well maintained, and peaceful. We ventured out for wedding activities and a bit of shopping but stayed at the hotel most of the trip because it was so enjoyable. We had massages, excellent. We played cards on the patio at the bar, excellent service. The front desk assisted us every day with taxis, water, a fan, toiletries if we missed housecleaning. Whatever we requested, they accommodated; superb customer service. I worked with them from the States before our arrival and they arranged for a car to greet us at the airport and bring us to the hotel upon arrival. My daughter tried to talk us into changing to another hotel closer to City Center and I am so thankful that we did not. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mulino di Firenze."
"Overall the hotel is nice. It's clean and modern. Rooms are comfortable but the shower is tiny, lol. Staff are helpful and friendly, but I primarily picked this hotel due to two things. It had a pool and it offered gluten free food in the restaurant.
The pool areas was nice, if small, but tricky to get sun all day as it's surrounded on all sides by the two stories of the hotel. It didn't seem to be used that much while we stayed so we were free to move the loungers around but this may not always be the case.
Gluten free was where I was disappointed the most. We arrived late on the first day and the restaurant was still open, but my GF partner's only option was a bit of beef and some roast potatoes. We gave it another go a couple of days later to see if having a relaxing day just at the hotel was an option, but again the selection was very limited, so we stayed later in town than we would usually have done.
Probably the biggest downfall is the hotel's location. It states it's only a few kilometers outside the centre of Florence but it takes 45 minutes each way due to the one way system and the current roadworks. The shuttle bus is free but it doesn't take you into the city centre but this was more of an issue for me as I have mobility issues.
Buses are hit an miss. They say they come every 20 minutes but this is wishful thinking. We waited an hour at the stop and then three number 23 buses pulled up one behind the other. Not the hotel's fault but just a heads up."
"If you are thinking of staying anywhere else in toscana…DON’T! This was the most amazing stay. We extended our stay because it was so beautiful and full of history. The amenities are also wonderful!"
