"We wanted to check out the Outerbanks on our way home to New England from South Carolina. Wish we were there for more than an overnight. The hotel right on the beach with an ocean view balcony was a beautiful stop on a long car trip. "

"The hotel was very clean and very accessible to the beach. Very close to shopping and food. The Dunes Resteraunt was a quarter mile walk and had excellent breakfast. The complimentary chocolate chip cookies at 8pm were great. Also, complimentary wine at 5 pm for the wine enthusiasts. Can't say anything bad about the Surf Side Hotel."

"We try to get to the NC Outerbanks at least once a year, for the last 4 trips we have chosen to stay at Shutters on the Banks, room is beautiful and so quiet. No noise from the other rooms at all. Beach is easily accessible and very nice. Beds are amazing and so comfortable. Each year we say, maybe we will try a new hotel, then we say, nah, we can’t find anything we will like more than Shutters!"
