"The hotel had construction of a new hotel next door. No mention of this was on the listing on the website at time of booking. The construction has been going the whole of 2025. On arrival at the hotel I was placed in a room facing the construction. Returning to reception to complain I was given another room. That room was slightly quieter from the main construction noise. However the bath was damaged with pealing paint that had been badly over painted. The construction noise could be heard all over the hotel including by the pool and in the dining area. Complaining to the hotel and to hotels.com. The hotel stated as the booking was non refundable they would not do refund me or help me move to another hotel on the island that was part of the chain. I continued to dispute this as they had lied to me at the time of booking not stating there was construction ongoing that would cause significant noise during my 2 week stay. I would never have booked the hotel as there were many other hotels to pick for the same price. After three days of complaining. I was moved to a third room that was slightly quieter. Eventually they agreed to allow me to move to another hotel in the chain for the second week. As an apology I was given all inclusive at the hotel for the first week. I would not recommend staying at the hotel. The corridors have very worn carpet. The rooms have been refreshed but the hotel has very poor sound proofing so you hear a lot of noise from other rooms"

"Surprisingly comfortable beds, delicious food including deserts and in general very cozy feeling. Small boutique hotel however with all needed amenities. "

"There waa no remote to control the air con unit or the tv The room smelt of cigarettes. When you don't smoke it isn't a nice smell. The room was clean and we had clean towls, We didn't use the kitchen area. The rooms are a really nice size. Just needs updating. Better locks on the doors, Also there is no bottled water in the room. When it states a boftle of water on arrival. "

"Overall I had a great time at papouis hotel , my shower room stunk of excrement and urine for the whole time I was there , i assumed it was a plumbing issue , as I was alone i put up with it . Apart from that everything was fine and all the staff were lovely . Well done to all"

"We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this villa! The property was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday. The pool area was perfect for relaxing, and the outdoor space was peaceful and private — exactly what we were hoping for.The location was ideal — close enough to local shops, restaurants, and beaches, but still quiet enough to unwind at the end of the day. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, always quick to respond and made us feel very welcome.We would definitely return in the future. Highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!"

"Booked last minute - best pool in the area but sun beds were limited. Some were damaged, not fit for purpose. Some umbrellas were broken. Pool bar was open if you could catch him.... Nice on arrival that you are taken to your room but dont expect anything else. Had ground floor room which was clean. Beds were made but no sign of mopping until day before Wall next to sink had not been cleaned before i stayed & was not done in time i was there. No plugs in sink or bath. Original bath had been painted over making it slippy. Did not pay for buffet breakfast. Food not available after 7 but as barman went before 5 you would be lucky! managers door was open & he would say good evening if he saw you but most of rest of staff did not / could not make conversation. Ground floor reception/ dinning areas were updated but none of the rooms. Green down outside walls where air con units were draining to. Glass panel missing in a fire door on 1st floor. Just generally feels unloved & has no atmosphere. Seriously in need of a major update for the rooms. Appliances supplied for self cater but limited sockets to use them. "

"The villa was clean, well-equipped and is in a great location - a few shops, restaurants and beach all within walking distance. It's around a 15 minute drive to Protaras and Ayia Napa with plenty of things to do and see.The owners were kind enough to sort out a food delivery as we were arriving late which was very much appreciated and there are clear instructions for the villa and plenty of suggestions and recommendations of what to do and where to eat.The villa itself is a great size, clean and well-equipped. Having said that the bathrooms are rather cramped and have very little storage for toiletries. The shower in the en-suite could do with a deep clean or refresh. The outside area is smaller than we're used to and we had to play musical sunbeds throughout the day to catch the sunny areas. The pool remained in shade for most of the day (maybe due to the time of year – late September) which meant it didn’t warm up at all but it was still nice to be able to have a refreshing dip in throughout the day. (The pictures of the outside area are years old as the trees and shrubs are much taller now).I appreciate that this is out of the control of the owners, and they did forewarn us, but the construction work going on just a few metres (literally just over the fence) from the Villa definitely impacted our holiday. Work began every morning at 6am and finished at 5pm. The machinery was very loud and everything got covered in dust. Hopefully this will be completed by next year? "
