"If flying into Florence airport make sure you have a very detailed map if either driving to or taking a cab to the hotel. It's quite off the beaten track. If you don't want to drive either through or on the outskirts of Florence, then take the southern bypass, A1/A11 E37. Once at Pontassieve head for Fiesole. It's about 15 mins from there.
