"It's nice to know that there are still old and cheap motels on the California coast. This motel is in a great area for exploring Ventura cute little coastal town in California. That being said don't expect much from staff or service. They did let me check my bags in early but with much effort on my part. The bed was not great. But it was in walking distance of downtown and the waterfront. Lots of restaurants around. For the price this was a good value for the California coast. But if you want something a little bit more nice don't stay here it's definitely two star."

"Room were clean and recently updated. However we were woken up at 3am by some folks who were talking Really Loud. The exterior walls are thin and that ruined our sleep--we had to leave early the next morning for an event."

"The beach is literally right outside the property, easy access from all the buildings, and it’s beautiful. My suite was large and had a large balcony with a great view and you could hear the waves. The food at both restaurants is surprisingly good for a hotel, and the drinks were ok too. Very easy to just spend all your time at the resort and never leave, but parking is very convenient."

"Been staying here since I was a kid and now I bring my kids! It's not top-of-the-line, but it's always clean, staff is friendly and breakfast is above avg. Plus, it's really close to the beach!"
