"This was one of the worst places I have stayed in! The place was in sad need of repairs and although it said no smoking the lobby smelled strongly of smoke, The whole place seemed unclean. I would not recommend it nor will i ever stay there again."

"The property offers beautiful views, easy walk to the beach, spa and hot tub with TV, and comfortable sleeping options. We would love to book the top portion where we stayed and the middle level for our two adult children to have a family getaway."

"Renee is a great host. She met us and made sure we were comfortable. We are looking for a halfway place for family weekends and will definitely book again. Very close to Franklin street with fun shops and good restaurants."

"Our priority was a fun beach vacation and this BnB hit all the buttons! Short walk to beach, beach was wide, uncrowded, and beautiful. An abundance of beach toys provided, from kayaks to paddleboards, assortment of life jackets, and beach towels! Very clean, great supplies in kitchen. Keurig cups provided, but coffee snobs may want to bring your own beans. Massage recliner and hot tub were a hit. And for the kids both young and old, arcade games! Highly recommend."

Eight 1981 VHS grads used Hampton Inn & Suites as our home base for a reunion weekend. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, the breakfast was very good and plentiful, and the rooms were exceptionally quiet and comfortable. The beds and pillows were so nice that my body was convinced that it rested at home. It was a lovely weekend. Thank you for the “Vail of Paradise” hospitality.

Great location with plenty to do in the area. The purpose of our trip was to visit Indiana Dunes NP, which is very close to the hotel. The hotel is located on a lake which added to its appeal. The general areas of the property were well kept and clean as was our room and bathroom. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel when traveling to the area, and I would stay here again.

Hotel was great. My only suggestion for imorovement would rest with removing the musty smell from the room. Maybe it was because it was so hot outside, I don't know. Other than that everything was perfect.

Stayed here five days and was very pleased. It's also close to downtown Valparaiso and many restaurants - including Starbucks which is just down the road. The room was spacious and clean. The hot breakfast - which is included- was plentiful. They rotate between biscuits and gravy, eggs and sausage. You can make your own waffles. There is yogurt, hard boiled eggs, tea, coffee, OJ, milk and lots more. The only drawback is that we were on the 2nd floor and we could smell breakfast cooking in...

For a male traveling by himself, this was no big deal. However, if my wife or family was traveling with me, we would have immediately left!
After grabbing my key I went out to get my luggage. I decided to go the shortest route to my room which meant
I had to enter the side door and walk up the steps.
On the door was a sign that told all visitors that the local authorities may walk through the hotel with dogs. This was, as they say, for our safety. Talk about not feeling safe! This hotel...
