"The house was clean and updated. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. There were beach towels to use and a medium sized igloo cooler to use for day trips. The host communicated with us well and check in and check out was smooth. Great place to stay while in Hilo."

"First of all, this property is gorgeous and set up perfectly, not to mention the private hot tub! My husband and I booked Rivendell Oasis while in Hawaii for the Merrie Monarch Festival and it was nice to have a quiet place to go back to each day after being around a lot of people. It wasn’t so far from downtown to not be able to enjoy a quick meal when we wanted but we also got to enjoy the natural nighttime sounds instead of cars driving by. I loved to just sit outside and listen to the pond (and rain) while reading a book or just watching the lizards and birds.The lovely hosts have the property well stocked with kitchen gadgets for what we needed and more. Lastly, Simon was the sweetest kitty and I melted when he jumped up on my lap and took a nap!"

"Anthurium House is lovely! We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, the sounds of the koki frogs, the hosts were wonderful and the house was the perfect size for the number of guests we had for the Merrie Monarch Festival! The outdoor shower was a treat!! And the kitchen was nice and big and became our gathering place! "

"The start of the stay started off well with Sarge, the property manager, and all, with him cooking for us and welcoming us in. The rules were very strict in having no outter footwear inside the house. The property was nice with a stray cat, named White Knight, being around the property to be there during your stay. However, things went downhill when we found out that one of our friends was hit on by Sarge, which made her feel uncomfortable. We were caught off guard by this action and let the other guests who went there with us, to be cautious and watch over her. "
