"This is an incredibly charming hotel. Each room is creatively and uniquely decorated. The staff treated us like family, calling us by our first names each time they saw us. Breakfast is wonderful, as is the customer service. There was not a single thing that wasn't first rate. I highly recommend the Hotel La Basílica, and if we ever return to Quito, this will be where we stay. Special shout-out to Media, Josalie and Byron."

"Excellent service! They run out to get your luggage, explain the amenities at the hotel, and show you to your room and the room’s features. Very clean! Very reasonably priced which included a bouquet of flowers, lots of snacks, a bottle of water, and a bottle of wine in our room. Hotel restaurant is almost as good as some expensive restaurants in large USA cities, but reasonably priced. The food and drink choices were plentiful and delicious."

Location to Old Town was excellent and only a $15 cab from historic equatorial line (mitad del Mundo) Only point I'd make is for some the hotel may feel cold although there is a tower heater in the bedroom which worked well.
