"Our room was very comfortable and clean. Our view was of the mountains and we had elk travel by not far from our room. The staff was helpful when needing supplies.we had a few of our meals in our room so the microwave and refrigerator were an essential part of the room."
The Stanley Hotel

"We were in the Lodge Building with many steps to enter the building. There was no staff to help with our heavy luggage or any ramp to the building. Our room had peeling paint on the windows and had a portable loud air conditioner. When we turned it off to open the two windows and turn on the ceiling fan, the ceiling fan had no control knob and would not turn on. Luckily 10 minutes later a ghost must have turned it on high. After that we could not turn it off. Also one of the two windows had no screen Other than that the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good with great water pressure. Overall our stay was nice. The History tour and the Shing tour were great. Be prepared for the many tourists coming in and out of the main hotel looking around and going on tours. Plus there is a lot of construction going on behind the main hotel and the Lodge building with noise starting at 7 am. Dinner in the MacGregor Chophouse was excellent. Casual dining in the Cascades room was good for lunch but there is no different dinner menu."

"The room was clean, interior was outdated, the bathroom was newer. Only outlet was near the sink for charging the phone. Was hard to get the correct temperature in the shower. It was a pretty spot along the river."

"Great place for small group. Basement stairs are a bit difficult to navigate, but if you take it slow, they are fine. The deck was a great outdoors space. If you don't have 4 wheel or all wheel drive get a running start to drive the dirt road elevation. Would definitely stay again."

"This hotel is walkable to town, has a swimming pool and a hot tub & continental breakfast. The staff is delightful & kind on check in and with my questions. As I checked out the nice guy behind the desk said do you want a water bottle for the road I said yes, and it had a candy bar taped to it. Silly but wonderful. My room was ready early. My son’s room was ready early. I had a room right over the river and it was beautiful. The property is older, but well maintained the bed was very comfortable. The towels were white and spotless and good quality. Will definitely stay here again."
