Beautiful property. The Belmond Maroma is a small hotel set in a lush tropical garden along the beach. The common areas are gorgeous and the rooms are private and quiet. There are several serene pools and great seating & umbrellas on the beach. The staff are wonderful - friendly and helpful. The breakfast is divine and dinners excellent. The only downside is the seaweed on the beach which is an issue all along the Yucatan coast. The hotel rakes the beach clean each morning.

We stayed at Secrets Maroma for 7 nights and to say we had a great time is an understatement! When the only complaint you can have about a place is that they are almost TOO attentive, then you are really staying at a true 5 star place. I recently stayed at this beautiful resort that offers exceptional service and a range of dining options. As a foodie, I tried most of the restaurants and found the meals to be good overall. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. I thought we were going to feel regretful for not staying at a beach resort, but I'm so glad we stayed here instead. Always A beautiful convenient place to stay and Playa del Carmen

Excellent location-quiet late at night/early morning so we slept well. Walking distance to tons of shops, restaurants, bars & beach clubs. Loved being right on the beach! Property was clean and very well maintained. Staff was friendly and attentive. Beds were super comfortable and great air conditioning. Good and drinks were all fresh and delicious. The hotel had so much character. Highly recommend!

Mezzanine is a beautiful property right on the water with an excellent Thai restaurant. The staff are great and very kind and helpful. The only complaints are that it's somewhat far from everything and you need to take a taxi to everything which is 10$ each way, or else get a bike but generally everything is about 3 miles plus away. The beach would be beautiful if the seaweed bloom wasn't so bad. The nets are doing little to keep the seaweed out, unfortunately. It's not really nice to swim in...

Hotel Lunata is a gem situated on Playa del Carmen's charming 5th Avenue, and one block from Playa's main beach. This property is fantastic if your desire is to go to a laid back property and have a relaxing but fun time. It is not packed with party hungry 18 year olds. We noticed the guests were mostly couples and friend trips made up of ladies or couples. While they say tips are not expected, they really are. Beautiful location. Comfortable room, as advertised in pictures. Wonderful community feel. Welcoming and helpful staff. Great snorkeling right off the beach. Only downside was that there was a club nearby that was blasting music at night and we could really feel the bass. Made it hard to fall sleep.

The TRS Yucatan was part of a larger group of related hotels on a very large beautiful beach and jungle property. The butlers at our villa, especially Emilio, were very welcoming and helpful as we oriented ourselves to the many facets of the resort. The transportation cart service was quick and the drivers very friendly.....though by following the seaside/beach everything was also very walkable. Food was excellent....green juice at Helios was my favorite!

This is one of the most relaxing, beautiful, peaceful trips I’ve ever been on. This property is so gorgeous - the smells, the sounds, the food - everything was so amazing. I cannot wait to come back!! Everyone there was so helpful and kind, they are able to get a taxi quickly for you and more. Tulum changed me, and I have Una Vida to thank for that. My experience was lovely...tranquil, natural beauty, no loud music blasting, pristine beach, a super kind staff...all good. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. I would not recommended eating dinner there (Ziggy's) because the portions are tiny and the prices are high. To get downtown a taxi is needed...no worries, you can catch one within minutes.
