Fabulous hospitality - very comfortable room with all the amenities you would need - short walk to the lake and restaurants - excellent breakfast and super friendly hosts!

We stayed in the Chocolate Room six months ago and checked in on Dec. 31st, New Year's Eve. We got there at around 10 at night. Many of the other guests and the staff were asleep. The staff had contacted us earlier to let us know that there'd be an envelope on the front counter with our room information and that if we needed anything, we could call. This hotel is just built. No one had ever slept in our room. Cant get much cleaner. Staff was amazingly helpful

We enjoyed our three day stay at the Firehouse. It's an old fire and police station situated a few blocks off Main Street. The rooms were decorated nicely although most of the building is original (and in very good condition) which we enjoyed seeing. In the morning we ate in a lovely dining room where a very nice staff person fixed and served a cooked to order breakfast with juice, fresh fruit, and freshly brewed coffee. One day we had baked eggs with cheese and turkey sausage; other days...

This was a great little motel. I can tell they work hard to make it a great place. The cleanest room I have stayed in for a long time! Friendly staff. The breakfast was very limited though and since I stayed there 4 nights it would have been nice to have more variety and maybe protein choice like peanut butter or Greek yogurt or even cream cheese. The fruit was limited but fresh. Coffee not so great but I’m from Seattle area so I like good coffee lol. I would stay here again

We liked everything about our stay. We were well taken care of and were treated like family. We want to recognize all of the staff that took excellent care of us. Like stay was nice clean and quiet

Over the past 5 years we have had occasion to stay at The Lodge many times and it never disappoints. In a word, the Lodge is comfortable. Everything is easy from the parking to the check in to the nice breakfast. The rooms allow for storing food you might have brought with you in a nice size fridge with a decent freezer area. The beds are firm and very comfortable. If you are lucky you might get checked in by the owner who is a great guy and very accommodating. Again, the operative word is...

This is a beautiful and friendly property. The room was comfortable, everything (TV, bathroom facilities, etc.) worked, and the entire facility was very clean. During our visit, Hurricane Helene moved across the area, and the hotel lost power. The staff did everything they could to make sure everyone was safe. When we left, the property had no damage despite high winds and flooding rainfall. At checkout, the staff could not print a receipt for us but promised to email us one when the electricity...
