"The property is near Las Ramblas and easy walking distance to Plaza Real for numerous restaurants and clubs as well as the waterfront and numerous sites. There is police station on the same block, so it is very safe. Pedestrians are everywhere both day and night. The hotel is clean, but we noticed a constant chemical smell in the hallway from cleaning agents they use. Rooms are simple, but modern and well cared for. Security cards are necessary for entry into the hotel, the elevator and your room. They have a rooftop infinity pool, but it was not heated and we had inclement weather, so couldn't use it."

"The location was fantastic and made it easy to walk to so many attractions, restaurants, and shops. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, which really added to the experience. The rooftop patio was incredible, with comfortable seating and excellent food and drink options. It was a great space to relax after a busy day exploring the city. The beds were also very comfortable. Overall, this was a wonderful stay and I would happily return."

"The hotel is in Barcelona, in the center, in the Gothic Quarter, I think it’s called. It has a wonderful air conditioner, perfect for sleeping. However, at night, you shouldn’t go out—it’s dangerous. There are many immigrants in masses. The hotel itself is just for sleeping. Nothing more."

"The Lamaro is a stunning hotel! It is conveniently located on a lovely square right opposite the Cathedral of Barcelona. The view from the rooftop bar/restaurant is fabulous. The area has lots of cafes and small shops for exploring. The room was beautifully decorated as was the lobby. We ate breakfast twice and dinner once in the main floor restaurant. All meals were great. I would certainly stay there again!"

"Overall I had a great experience at this hotel. It was clean and close to downtown and the waterfront. One critique or point of caution for others is that there are multiple locations for this hotel with the same name. The hotel and Expedia should do a better job to point this out and make it clear. There is one near the airport and one downtown. I took a taxi from the airport asking to go to the “Innside Hotel” and the driver took me to the wrong one. He charged me a flat rate of $21 for a short trip probably less than 10 minutes to the one close to the airport. The check in person told me that i was at the wrong location and that the same thing happened to someone else earlier in the day. I had to take another taxi around $25 to the downtown location. If this has happened to multiple people then why don’t you do something about it?"

"The room was pretty spacious and faced La Rambla. Bright and clean overall. It was a little noisy because of the construction outside, and you could occasionally feel the vibration of the train at night. Breakfast was superb, with lots of selection. Overall good"

"The Hotel Medinaceli was magnificent. Recently beautifully renovated/refurbished. Elegant, stylish and immaculately clean. Highly recommend "
