This is the Convent of Sant Agustí in Barcelona's old town lit up at night. It's a beautiful place to go visit, day or night. And it's more than just a convent today.

It's currently a cultural center, where you can see concerts, plays, art expositions, and more. They've got a small café under the beautiful arches of the former convent, and it's a great place to stop for a quick break in the middle of the day. In the warmer months, it's lovely to sit outside and admire the surroundings.

Because the café is very family friendly, the outdoor spaces fills up with kids playing and running around after the local schools let out. It's been a big hit with my visitors to Barcelona who have kids.

And yes, they have wi-fi too!

"It was excellent! Great location, walking distance to many different places! Staff very helpful and attentive; they provided a map of the city and set up a taxi to take us to airport the day we left. The Hotel was clean and comfortable with an excellent breakfast buffet- many choices and all were delicious! Fantastic place!"

"Hotel Rec is a lovely hotel with friendly accommodating staff. The rooftop bar and pool is a great area to relax, with a drink and a snack and take in the view of the surrounding city. The location was good - near to cafes, restaurants and within walking distance of some of the key sites."

"A beautiful hotel in an incredible location. Our room was very comfortable—we would certainly recommend the junior suites with the private balcony for a great place to relax and enjoy a great view of the city. We were able to walk to many of the main areas with ease and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The only thing we were only slightly disappointed in was the size of the pool and pool area. It is a very small area where only a few people can comfortably swim/lounge. Otherwise, one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at. "
