For a longer stay like ours, having the kitchen and laundry facilities was essential. It was nice to have a dining table for 6 for our Christmas as well "

"First time staying at the hotel. It’s definitely a beautiful property with direct access to the beach. It’s unfortunate that the ocean water isn’t safe for swimming/ dipping your feet due to contamination but it’s lovely for strolling and taking in the scenery. The room itself is lovely and the hallways are quiet. However, our room is situated directly in front of the loading area where staff constantly unload trucks and vans during all hours of the night. At 1:00 am I could clearly hear the backlot staff talking over the sounds of the truck engines, overhead doors slamming, the beeping of vans backing into the ramp, and the banging of palettes moving across the lot in preparation for the large private events taking place during our stay. Nevertheless, the dinner and drinks we had at the seafood bar next to the pool were excellent, as were the two gentlemen who took care of us. Further, my mom had a great experience at the salon with hair stylist Lily. Overall, a stunning hotel with a rich history, excellent location, and professional staff."

"Do not stay here! This property is listed as a 5 star hotel but don’t let the aesthetic fool you. Yes, the rooms are visually pleasing however they are very small. The hotel is understaffed. They have one attendant running around doing valet, bag assistance, even at times cleaning the rooms, which was hit and miss. We had to be downtown one morning of our stay and there was no valet available to bring up our car so they walked us to the parking garage basement where my car was parked and I literally had to get in my car from the passenger side because it was parked so close to the cement wall. I would not mind parking/retrieving my own car, just don’t charge parking and valet fees. And please, for all that’s good, don’t call yourself a 5 star hotel. The room was missing many items so I had to call to get these brought up. Last day - I asked to extend checkout until noon the day prior to our departure. the front desk associate said that would be no problem. I came back around 11:10am from breakfast and my card had been deactivated so I just went to ask for it to be reactivated. The desk associate was so indifferent, like she couldn’t care less, and then proceeded to tell me she could not reactivate my card? Then just looked at me like that was it. She honestly could not grasp the idea that I still needed in the room to get my bags. So I had to wait for yes, the valet attendant, to let me in the room. He was so busy doing 3 or 4 other jobs, it was just a racket. "

"My only complaint was the breakfast. I thought it would be a self serve type situation. It was a fixed menu. I am Vegan, and there really was nothing I could eat other than cereal with OAT milk. No protein in that! The first morning had a salad and potatoes, second morning had nothing I could eat. How about at least a bagel and peanut butter? Considering breakfast out is expensive, this was part of what we were paying for. Other than that, the place was lovely. Location was perfect. Very quiet. A Happy hour each day was included. Staff were very nice. "
