What a great find this hotel was! Modern, clean and the BEST included breakfast I have ever had at any hotel.

The best hotel we have ever stayed at. The views are amazing and the hotel is something out of a good movie. The staff were terrific. We went on a guided one hour torch nature walk that the hotel puts on Friday night. It is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Great Hotel, very comfortable and the restaurant was great.

Loved our stay here! When we arrived Sam, at the front desk, helped us get settled straight away. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station but you cannot hear trains pass. We got a room over looking the river which was very relaxing. The breakfast, which was included, was great!

Beautiful location with wonderful views. The swimming 'pond' was a lovely surprise. There is no airconditioning, which another reveiw mentioned, but as you are high in the mountains, the air cools in the evening so sleeping is not a problem. We stayed to visit The Eagles Nest, which is an easy 20 mins drive. All staff were very freindly, breakfast was wonderful. Wunderschöne Lage mit herrlicher Aussicht. Der Schwimmteich war eine schöne Überraschung. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage – wie bereits...

I really enjoyed my staff at the Alpenhoff. Food was great, staff very friendly. The location is perfect - set in the mountains but just a short walk or drive to town.

good and clean hotel. nice view for the mountain. Spa has strong smell of the bleach.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful breakfast.

This place takes you back in time, with all the charm of the old days combined with the functionality of modern times. Excellent service, amazing food, super pet-friendly, and a perfect location—ideal for visiting Salzburg or simply enjoying the peace of nature!

This was just an all around excellent stop outside of Salzburg. The village was one of the nicest I've seen in Europe. Don't miss the cemetery, it's beautiful.

This is an excellent hotel for its price point! I felt like I got a lot of value for what I paid. The rooms are clean though no frills. The staff is helpful and attentive. The spa was clean and nice, although it is only open for four hours in the evenings. If you are used to some of the more premium hotel/spas in the Berchtesgaden area, you won’t be impressed. That said, the fact that the Explorer had one, didn’t charge extra for it, and kept it very clean is a huge plus for me. The breakfast...

The property is beautiful, the rooms very clean, modern, and spacious and the staff is truly top notch. The woman who works at the front desk (manager…maybe owner?) is exceptionally kind, accommodating, and informative. We will absolutely stay again.

The hotel was great! Incredible view and beautiful place to stay. Sunny at the front desk was really helpful.

Wonderful experience in this amazing hotel. To the points that matter the most: room was very comfortable (including very nice bed and excellent shower pressure); breakfast with great variety and good quality; staff very polite and helpful; check in and check out very fast and efficient. Definitely coming back and definitely recommend to others!

Loved the location of the hotel. You can see the city below from the mountain and you can look at the Alps mountain range. You can also go on a hike. I wish I had more time. I will definitely visit this location again.

such a nice place. such a nice location. such a nice staff. we have been here 3 times in 3 year. it is always a pleasure. thanks. we will be back.

Great location, fantastic view, clean room, friendly staff.

Check in was friendly. Parking was easy and included. The room was clean and large. We had a kitchen area, balcony, and private bedroom. It was close to the bus stop to get into Salzburg sights. We were only here overnight. I would recommend.
