"We really enjoyed our stay at Bailiffgate Hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. The new refurbishment was excellent and the room had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay. The hotel is situated in a quiet corner of Alnwick overlooking the castle and yet only 5 minutes away from the town centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We shall definitely stay there again."

"We enjoy walking and bird watching - this was a brilliant base, comfortable and well equipped property, with helpful neighbours and quick responses from Russell with any queries. An easy walk to shops, boats to Farne Islands as well as the beach. "

"Stayed in a Garden Room which was lovely and had everything we needed. Very comfortable bed, good bathroom and comfortable chairs for a pre-dinner drink. Enjoyed Breakfast both in the hotel and in the pub. Good base for two days of walking. "

"Grand old building , room clean and tidy , excellent night’s sleep . Breakfast good loved the timed sit down . Significant problem in that to ensure right mix of tables, all through the meal tables were being dismantled rolled out to a storage room and others replaced and set . A bit like breakfast whilst refurbishment on going ."
