"Large and grandiose Victorian hotel located close to town centre. Easy (though expensive) parking. Quick check-in. Nice large room except bathroom poorly laid out. Only two small lifts seemed inadequate for size of hotel. Very large and very grand common facilities including bar and restaurant. Nice breakfast."

"We booked this last minute for a date night in Leeds and got a great deal. Our room was spacious and luxurious with a huge bed and a nice view. Staff were excellent - just a really nice hotel - highly recommend!"

"Hotel and room were clean. Some scuff marks on corridor paintwork and doors. Other guest were noisy and a lot of traffic noise if you leave the window open. Breakfast good choice but hot meal a little cold and my sausages were undercooked. However plenty of choice. Staff seemed a little disorganized but we're pleasant and helpful. Parking was good at £4 per day. Location excellent to AI and M62 so easy access when leaving. Short taxi ride into town and fairs excellent."

"Lovely big room and excellent value for money. We have paid twice as much for half as nice in other places. Very pleasant staff and everything is very clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed. My husband enjoyed the large 20m swimming pool. We had a great stay and would be happy to return"
