"Overall it was not a good place to stay"

"This is a wonderful guesthouse. The location was ideal for us less than a 10 minute walk into the town centre. The room was very comfortable with fantastic tea and coffee facilities. It was quiet and well decorated. We parked on the road outside the guesthouse and were provided with a permit that was valid until midday. There is a wonderful café just across the road that is well worth visiting as well."

"Stay here every year super convenient. This year we were given the room on the top floor I wasn’t keen as it had no window just a sky light but it was very quiet and wasn’t a big deal."

"It is a nice convenient hotel. Clean. Tea and coffee facilities were nice to settle down nicely on arrival and when I woke up in the morning. Mini refrigerator was handy to keep my leftover food in the refrigerator to eat in the morning. Comfortable table and internet. I give 4 star only as there was no toilet in the room and I hesitated to leave my room in the middle of the night."

"Excellent breakfasts, the best scrambled eggs ever! The room was brilliant but ,would benefit from a small fridge. Great parking available. Only tiny negative was that there was no coat hangers in the room."

"Very modern clean room with a great shower and tea / coffee making facilities. Only challenge was the sloping roof, but it is a historic building with timber beams"

"Just had the most magical stay at Ashfield House, we stayed in the Garden Suite which was perfect in every way! Cannot recommend this place enough, thank you for a fantastic stay "
