I really liked the Kamakura Prince hotel. Some may say it is dated, but I think it had a classic mid-century modern/art deco look which I thought was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There are two restaurants: (i) a Japanese teppenyaki restaurant; and (ii) a "European" restaurant. When we arrived the front desk greeted us warmly. They confirmed our Glamping reservation and kindly showed us about the property, including the baths and relaxation room. The glamp trailer/building was cozy. It had all we needed and a view. We only stayed the one night but it was a nice getaway. For travel, it was a little off the beaten path but we did it, with luggage. I would recommend the location.

The hotel is reasonably close to the Haneda Airport and the free shuttle to the airport was great. Free shuttle also to Kawasaki Train Station where we found shopping. - nothing near the hotel. Kawasaki train connection was planned to get us to the Tokyo after 5 tour, It was the special assistance of the Kawasaki Railway staff that helped us to arrange the train timings as we did not speak Japanese - and very few people there spoke English! A fun time!!

We had a long travel day the day prior so having our own private onsen to relax in along with the traditional meals was a lovely way to start our tour of this beautiful country.

Nice staff, room smells like mold. Had to request to change room twice, nice hot springs. Breakfast is ok.

We stayed here with our four-year-old and had a wonderful time. They provided child robes and meals and everyone was so kind. Free coffee and tea downstairs and amazing baths in the rooms! Would definitely return.

Loved staying at this property! Absolutely beautiful. Very friendly staff. Room was stunning. Would recommend the Japanese style breakfast during your stay and visiting the onsen!

I live in Japan and have been to a fair few ryokans- this was by far the best one. My friend was visiting from England and she wanted to experience the ryokan culture- she was not disappointed. The staff were incredibly welcoming and pandered to our every need. There are 3 separate baths to choose from, the best being the outdoor one which boasted incredible scenic views. Everything about Yamagaso is fantastic, I can't wait to go back.

Hakone Airu was a wonderful stay that will form part of our unforgettable trip to Japan. At first, I was hesitant to book this hotel because of the limited number of reviews. In the end, I took a chance and went a "Superior Room" with in-room bath. To be honest, not sure what the difference is between the different room types. Such a room with dinner & breakfast seemed to cost a lot more at other hotels. Not sure what else you get in other places; but I'm sure it can't get much better than...

I really enjoyed the welcoming front office staff. They were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious and unfortunately they were out of nonsmoking rooms so we had to book a smoking room We wish there were more nonsmoking rooms available. But everything else was amazing. We will definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel to our friends.

Absolutely beautiful inside and out! Sound of wind in trees, breathtaking views, glorious onsen! Staff could not be nicer or more efficient. Even made me a birthday card! 6 course dinner was incredible! I will be back!
