"Hotel Prestige was so perfect, charming, and the staff was incredible. Loved the pool so much and being away from the crowds made it extra special. I can't wait to return. xo"

Grand Hotel De La Ville

8/10 Good

"You can find fancier hotels in Sorrento but Grand De La Ville is nice enough. Better than basic. Location is good, 6-7 min walk to the center square. Free breakfast buffet is pretty good with American breakfast options like scrambled eggs and an omelet station. Rooms were generously sized. We used the laundry service for a few things and it was perfect “Garden View” rooms overlook apartment buildings… not exactly scenic but we weren’t in the room much. Only good things to say."

"Property is right next to Sorrento railway station, less than 10mins walk into the main part of town. The room was clean and well presented, with plenty of space for two people. Staff were friendly and helpful, always happy to answer questions. The breakfast catered for different tastes and was a handy option for the start of the day. Rooftop bar had a wonderful view as well."

"Best part of the stay is the staff. Everyone was extremely welcoming and nice. They were super helpful in arranging the transportation to the Naples hotel. They also connected us with the doctor for my son’s earache. Although the room and bathroom are tiny the helpful staff made all of forget that even being an isssue."

Hotel Rivage Sorrento

"I had an excellent stay at Hotel Rivage and would absolutely recommend it. The hotel was very clean, well-maintained, and felt updated throughout. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was especially appreciated during the warm weather. The views were beautiful, and I loved spending time by the pool, which was clean, relaxing, and had great scenery. The location was also fantastic—close enough to easily walk to the main strip and center of Sorrento while still feeling peaceful and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful, and everything about my stay exceeded expectations. I truly have no complaints whatsoever and would happily stay here again on a future trip to Sorrento."

Hotel Baia di Puolo

"Terrible experience overall. As a solo female traveler, I felt like a second-class guest. The staff were generally disrespectful, impatient, and unhelpful. Very few employees spoke English, and communication was extremely difficult throughout my stay. The worst experience happened at a restaurant where I planned to have dinner. Due to a misunderstanding with my order, a staff member apparently entered it incorrectly. An older man from the kitchen then came out carrying a huge fish and loudly insisted that I had ordered it and needed to finish it. The fish was the size of my arm. I repeatedly explained that I was dining alone and had not ordered such a large meal, but he kept arguing. The entire restaurant was staring at me, and it was one of the most embarrassing moments I have experienced while traveling. When I refused to accept the fish, they brought me an uncooked fish fillet instead, which I did not eat. I left the restaurant feeling belittled, embarrassed, and hungry, yet I was still expected to pay the bill. The experience upset me so much that I skipped breakfast the next morning and left a day early. Beyond the restaurant incident, the staff throughout the property were rude, impatient, and unwilling to explain things. Accessing the hotel was also difficult, requiring a strenuous 30-minute walk over steep hills. In addition, the room was not properly cleaned, and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone."
