"Lovely bright room with a fantastic sea view - comfy bed. Staff really good and nothing too much trouble. Couple of issues with food but sorted quickly. Would recommend this as a fantastic place to stay."
"Staff are worth their weight in gold and the Canford boasts some heavy weights. Take a walk along the nearby promenade and take in the surrounding area and its wealthy residents. Food at breakfast and dinner was superb. This establishment like so many other places is a dog friendly hotel and bar. On a damp day, your nose will remind you. I tried to plug in my firestick at the back of the telly but was put off by the avalanche of dust. Bathroom window is losing the fight against the ivy growing...

Steps down to the beach - quiet compared to central Swanage. Easy access onto the downs and coastal path. Excellent breakfast. Really friendly helpful staff."

"The Victorian building was remarkable. The tiled flooring in the reception area and the row of servants' bells gave one a sense of stepping back in time. We were in a modern annex to the house, which was immaculate and comfortable. If there was a restaurant it would have been perfect, however there were restaurants close by, and the sea front was also just a short walk."
