For the amount charged I would expect high quality ingredients - the cooked breakfast presented was of the same standard as Premier Inn/Travelodge. The continental option lacked cheese and meats and again, the selection did not live up to the price charged. Hotel great, breakfast disappointing."

"Check-in was good, staff member was pleasant and the room was well presented. Unfortunately the room stank of cigarette smoke and we couldn't be moved to another room. Before I would stay here again I would insist that the room was a non-smoking room, it was truly unpleasant. Nice and simple continental breakfast in a lovely breakfast room with views over the river."

"The room was well maintained with an excellent shower. One tile n the bathroom needs re- grouting but no big deal . Room 129. Staff were generally friendly, but TBH we didn’t have a lot of interaction with them which was fine for us. If get breakfast was warm & a adequate selection, though a mall amount of manners by some guests wouldn’t go a miss.The location is the star, just 20 mins walk to the centre & simple to navigate. Tight parking on the front of the premises, but plenty of spaces around the back . Overall the hotel ticks all the boxes for a base if your visiting Oxford for a few days ."

Only the gym room was a little on the small side, if fitness is needed for part of your stay you may need to find a local gym.
