The Grand Hotel is so fabulous and spectacular in its design of the building! The staff are very helpful and friendly! The room is clean and comfortable! The breakfast is so amazing with all kinds of varieties and so tasty! The service of storing our luggage is very convenient for us! The room was stunning! Food was delicious, staff was everything you’d want from helping with check-in, assisting with getting around the property, to finding events and activities around the city. Staying at the Grand felt like checking into a piece of Taiwan's history. The palace architecture, the red columns, and the dragon details are even more striking in person, and the building's past as a place for visiting heads of state is still part of the experience. I spent as much time exploring the halls and learning the backstory as I did in my room, and the hidden escape tunnels were a highlight. Few hotels give you a sense of place like this one. I'd stay again.

We're so glad to have stayed in this historic, magnificent hotel. It's in great shape, the restaurants are great - Yuan Yuan and the on on the second floor with the great views. The basement bar is cool, and you should see the escape tunnel, very neat. Glad we didn't stay at some boring modern, soulless hotel.

This is a building from 1973, with that in mind, it has been maintained incredibly well! I did enjoy touring the building and the underground tunnel. A very unique hotel experience.

The hotel’s architecture is unique and has many restaurants to choose from. The prestige deluxe room faces the mountain side and quiet while the prestige horizon room faces city and is a little bit noisy. Both rooms are spacious.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel. Everything was impressive from the room, the food, the shops, and the service. One thing that stood out immediately to us was the pleasant scent throughout the hotel. We loved it so much we bought the shower gel (which was the same scent) and diffuser from the gift shop. If you are able to book a room with a balcony and a view of the city do not hesitate to do so. It is worth it. We will definitely come back next time we are in Taipei.
