"Room was clean and organized, although tight space. Small kitchenette and second toilet were nice features. Shared laundry space on the first floor was well utilized. Check in is via I-pad, as no actual staff at the front desk. Walkable area and easy to get to local subway station."

"We enjoyed the ryokan experience of tatami, futon and shoji. We used bus, taxi and train to get around to the sights of Kyoto. It was especially nice to have a washing machine and a fridge!"

"This was a spacious, comfortable and unique property in a good location. It was immaculately clean. There is a Lawson store next door and a number of good restaurants nearby. It is in walking distance to the Heian Shrine and Nanzenji Temple. Bus stops are just outside and subway stations are very close. The hotel is on a busy street, but the room is well insulated and very quiet. It has a washing machine that is supposed to also function as a dryer, but we didn’t have much luck with the dryer...
