"This is the perfect hotel for first time visitors to Kathmandu or anyone wanting to stay in Thamel. The city/neighborhood can feel very chaotic at times, and Dalai-La is such a wonderful escape. The courtyard is a perfect place to start the day with the hotel’s amazing breakfast options. The rooms are spacious with modern fixtures. We were given two large bottles of water in the room a day. The staff is simply wonderful! Binod specifically was very friendly and amazingly helpful. He gave us a number recommendations for things to do in and around Kathmandu as well as our next stay in Pokhara. He was also very helpful with the currency exchange. The location of the hotel is perfectly situated in Thamel to allow you to walk to numerous shops and restaurants. I would absolutely stay here again. My dad and I had a wonderful time! "

"The staff at Hotel Buddah were fantastic, starting from breakfast and assisting with anything else (taxi to airport etc) as needed. It is quite a noisy area, which you can hear through the windows at night. Felt slightly unsafe walking around once dark but lovely and popular tourist spot during the day. "
