Quiet, fresh and clean, very comfortable, super convenient (across from bus and train station) and lovely surroundings (didn’t feel like a concrete jungle). Starbucks and convenience store right beside us. Of all the places we visited in Kyoto during our tours we continually agreed that this hotel made for the best home base. "To be honest, our first room was quite terrible. It was old and dirty. The floors looked so gross I didn’t even want to put my bare feet on them. So why the good ratings? Well, after contacting Expedia to see about cancelling my reservation so I could move to a completely different hotel, the on duty manager offered to move me to another room. That room was significantly better - it was on a floor that had been renovated just a few years ago. I don’t know if they reserve this floor for higher priced reservations, but I was told it was an “equivalent room”. But it was so much better, I couldn’t be happier. So my tip would be, if you’re assigned the 15th floor, ask for something different… 16th floor if you can get it."

"Hotel is in a excellent area, you can move easly with the train station right in front of the hotel. Hotel is clean, has everything you need, shower was really spacious better than other hotels, feels new. Overall on my trip to japan this was the best hotel i stay in. Will definitely book here again without a doubt."

"Room was excellent (although we did notice some slight mould buildup around a vent), central Kyoto easy to get to and nice and close to the staion as well, overall was a great stay. The only downside we found was the breakfast selection in the morning was somewhat limited, but if you are looking to spend a few days in Kyoto this is a great hotel to do it at!"
