"The bottom floor with the sauna, onsen and showers was incredible. There was a staff only door which was a little concerning near the bedrooms (which do not have a lock) but my group did not have any issues during our stay. The check in was a little troubling, we get there at night."

"The TEN-YU was an exceptional experience. The staff recieve you as if you just arrived home. The whole ambience is of relaxation and de stressing. Enjoyed a fabulous aromatherapy massage at the onsite AnSpa, which was in the most serene location. The Tepanyaki dinner was something else!! Beautifully prepared starters and delicious cuts of the best Kobe beef. We were able to unwind immediately from a long trip and made it a stay i will never forget!!!"

"My room was clean and spacious. The staff are extremely kind and helpful but also very hands off, giving you lots of privacy and freedom. The space is quirky and cool! Definitely a unique place to stay with local character- no frills onsen open to guests and not trying to be something its not. I would definitely come back here if I am ever in Hakone. The food was very good both for dinner and breakfast, and had allergens clearly labeled, which was very helpful.
