"friendly staffs. We booked a few rooms together for a trip. One of the group arrived around 9pm and their room was given away. We paid ahead with all rooms booked well ahead. They found a solution was to put my friends in next hotel across the street with upgrade. How did this happen? our groups were split in 2 different places. I am pretty upset."

"Booked to be as close to the train station as possible and it is actually the nearest, just across the road from the station and nearest to the cruise terminal as well (app 25 minute walk or a taxi app £10) - I was meeting my daughter for her birthday, she works on the ships, so it was an ideal spot. Walking distance to the centre of Southampton too. Staff were really nice, loved having the pool, sauna and gym included. All in all great value."

"I was staying at the Village because my dad was in the Royal Bournemouth hospital across the road. Last year I stayed in a village hotel in Farnborough and vowed never to stay in a “Village” hotel again, the experience was awful. Imagine my disappointment when I turned up in Bournemouth to find I’d booked a hotel in the same group. HOWEVER….. This hotel could not have been more different. The cleanliness, the helpful staff, facilities and the rooms were fab. And I was very happy with the price. The staff should get a special mention because they bent over backwards, nothing was too much trouble. I managed to pour scolding hot tea over my ribs. I went down to reception where the young woman on the desk went into Florence Nightingale mode and helped me out with a pretty nasty burn. 10/10 for me. Thank you Village Hotel Bournemouth. "

"This is a grrat property to stay at if you are going on a cruise. Walking distance from the port depending on which one your ship is at. Staff was helpful and the breakfast was great."

"We absolutely enjoyed the Bar area, The staff was very friendly. One individual stood out for us, His name was Curtis, We had a pleasant conversation with him. The only thing I would point out that could be a negative is the absence of small wash clothes. Otherwise I would recommend staying here, We are dog lovers as well and thought the dog bowl’s were great !"

"Great location for the beach and the centre of town. Hotel beautiful and clean. Breakfast was great with a good choice of cooked options, all freshly prepared. Really enjoyed the Bluewater Spa and Brasserie menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
