"Good place to stay for Bournemouth. 10 minutes walk to the sea front and about 20 minutes walk to Bournemouth sea front and town centre. Room was very clean and the small inside pool was good enough for a few strokes. Would stay again on our next visit. "

"Room 1 bathroom disgusting with toilet being coupled to basin horrible smell when toilet flushed . Room 2 badley fitted windows managed to put fingers between window and frame. Room 3 just about acceptable very outdated furniture and fixings. One female staff member not very apologetic .while others tried there best. So glad only paid for room only would not stay here again. "

"The hotel was very ‘tired’ looking. Our room had condensation on a large window that wouldn’t go, it looked awful! Broken window in the bathroom. The bed!!!! On wheels with spindly little legs, every turn was accompanied with squeaks and springs going. The room had a ‘smoky’ smell, clearly it had been smoked in. The paint in the room was patchy and NOTHING like the photos on line. How is this a 3 star hotel????? 2 at best and that’s being generous. Hideous loud talking neighbour. 10am chuck out...

"When you consider that the hotel started its life as a coaching house in the 1840s it is nigh on 200 years old! It is quirky and still has the feel of buildings that were designed at the time - it has great character, is very comfortable and ideally situated in the city centre. The management clearly take a lot of pride in the hotel. Great place. "
