"Well, this place killed my long-time affection for "quaint' roadside motels. Stunk badly of some kind of air-freshener, bleak, broken down, horribly stained carpet, no glasses, no housekeeping, you could see day-light through the crack in the door that didn't have a deadbolt or catch. "Chose this hotel for easy off/on the thruway and a concert at darien lake. Was able to check in quickly. Staff was super nice at check in and out. I think they have some of the best coffee, (french roast) thank you! Did not eat but waffles smelled amazing and eggs and sausage looked good. Bed comfortable enough and pillows food too. Would stay again."

"Even though the hotel/building is older, everything was extremely clean, crisp and convenient. There was a small mix-up on email communication, however, we made one phone call and received a return call immediately with all necessary instructions to enter our room when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again, if in the area."

Hidden Valley Animal Adventure

"We had an overnight stay at Hidden Valley Animal Adventure. We have been here many times to see the animals and for events, as I am from the area originally, but had NO idea they had hotel rooms. The rooms were very clean and the bed was super comfortable - towels super fluffy and brand new bed linens. Coffee maker was super clean and we had a Keurig which was nice. We walked over to see the animals which was so fun and when you walk out the front door you have a view of the pond and bridge/gazebo - beautiful!!. Plus you are out in the middle of the country which I loved. The room is very small and no windows, but to be honest, I think that is why i slept so well there. Bathrooms are very big though. The girl at the front desk walked me to my room and showed us how to use the keys and seemed excited to have us. I would 100% stay here again. I was only sad that we just stayed one night."
