"Second time we have stayed here. Ate in the evening and had breakfast. The staff were very good and friendly and the food was excellent. We actually stayed in the same room on both occasions, was like going down memory lane. Would definitely stay again, if in the area. "

"Overall a nice little overnight stay for myself and my so . The family room however is very tired and requires some attention particularly the bed which has seen betrays. The mattress was too soft and the springs could be felt. Not an overly comfortable sleep."

"Stay in a working monastery! The buildings and extensive grounds are superb. The grounds and gardens are well tended, and make for an extremely pleasant stroll. The place oozes character and makes a memorable visit. All this on the outskirts of Huddersfield. The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is only "continental", offering cereals, muesli, yoghurt, plenty of fresh bread for toast and lots of strong filter coffee. The staff are friendly and welcoming."
