"The bed was comfortable and very spacious but in this time of year it was absolutely freezing and a bad draft in main bedroom. The heater in the bedroom was a tiny kick plate heater in the bottom of the wardrobe. It did heat the room but took an hour to really take the chill off. "

"Fantastic location in a very picturesque setting with a lovely little river flowing across the bottom of the field. The Shepherds hut was spotless with home made cakes an eggs supplied by the owner. The only thing that spoiled it for us was the chemical toilet smell that seemed to linger around the hut and we had to burn a lavender candle (provided ) to take it away. Not sure if it is normal for it to smell strongly but looking at previous reviews , probably not. "

"Relaxing retreat in a good location. Pod was cosy, well equipped including items for dogs and decorated to an excellent standard. The Brown Horse Inn serves excellent food and allows dogs in the bar area. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend booking."

"This lodge is set in a quiet but beautiful setting just outside Keswick. It has ample parking and access to a reliable and frequent bus service - so important in the Lakes! The lodge is spacious, with lots of light, fabulous views towards Derwent Water and the Derwent Fells from the living area and outside terrace. "The place was spotless and clean and there were welcome packes for my fur babies which I thought was so nice."

"You really get what you paid for. The location is just 10-15 mins drive away from bowness of Windermere so it’s really a good location. We were able to have a good time and rest as there was less noise as the environment was very peaceful. And to add up, the pod was so aesthetic yet modern. Would highly recommend!"

"If you are considering staying in one of these pods I highly recommend it. They are beautiful, spotlessly clean, cosy and warm in a lovely peaceful spot. The Brown Horse pub also does great food and a lovely breakfast!"
