A truly amazing property. Unparalleled service, exquisite country setting, the most wonderful food and presentation. We were here two different nites within a week and were welcomed back on our second stay like old friends. Deco is amazing...cannot say enough about this wonderful property. Be sure to visit the llamas!

Glenn and Susann were lovely hosts who showed us great hospitality. The bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was skillfully cooked to order, full of options and served with great attention. We enjoyed our stay at Storrs Gate House during our time in the Lake District.

Enjoyed a great 3 night stay at the Hideaway. This is a true Bed & Breakfast. Our bed was comfortable and our private bath had been nicely modernized with helpful shelves and racks. The breakfasts were prepared to order from a balanced menu. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Due to the rain we did not get to enjoy the outside sitting area but it looked inviting. The LInthwaite House Hotel is absolutely marvelous--in every way. The location overlooking Lake Windermere is perfect--amazing views, feels like a million miles from the tourist chaos below, yet extremely handy to everything is one wanted to pop to a local pub or explore. The manor house is absolutely beautiful, in superb condition, with many inviting public spaces--not the least being a marvelous atrium room overlooking the panorama below. After a busy week exploring Scotland, my boyfriend and I decided to make a stop for a couple of day in the quiet town of Windermere to get some rest and relaxation before continuing onto our busy adventures down in London. Jericho was just what we needed. The entire place was beautifully decorated and very very well kept. Our room was so cozy (but spacious) and luxurious--I probably could have just moved in. Great breakfast and close to Lake Windermere

There are not enough stars nor points to give this hotel! It is perfectly placed near the Lakes, but not so close as to be crowded. Our room was lovely, with all the right touches and amenities: great shower, comfy bed, and REAL COFFEE! The included breakfast is fantastic, and do not miss the restaurant (we ate there 3 times in 2 days), as the food is superb! Every staff member we encountered was delightful. We would go out of our way to stay there again!

Beautifully kept and spacious rooms. Owners were very pleasant and communication was top notch. Highly recommend and will make sure to stay here the next time we are in Bowness.

Really lovely B & B just a few minutes walk into the centre which had plenty of independent shops, cafes and restaurants It’s also near the Orrest Head walk with spectacular views.
